Tanya Dubbs, a dog owner from Virginia, was in for a surprise when her Great Dane gave birth to what is probably one of the largest litters in the whole world.
Because the doggie, Namine, gave birth to not one or two, but twenty-one puppies! Yes, that’s right. A dog gave birth to twenty-one pups over the course of twenty-seven hours.
Now, as a lot of you might know, Great Danes are one of the tallest dog breeds in the world, and they are known to give birth to more than ten puppies in a row.

Tanya and her family was expecting a maximum of thirteen puppies in the litter, but she exceeded all expectations when she gave up to twenty-one little ones.
Almost all of them weigh a pound, though there were two that weighed 98 and 94 ounces respectively.
Namine’s Story
Although two of the little ones died within a couple of hours after birth, there were still nine puppies to look after. And since there was serious competition among the furries for their mother’s milk, Tanya took it on herself to make sure all the babies were well-fed.

She personally sees to it that all the babies receive equal amounts of milk, and she uses formula to feed the ones that get left out.
Namine, the doggo mom, has quite the history behind her. Last year, she had run away from the house along with her brother Malificent and ended up getting hit by a truck.
Although Malificent escaped unhurt, Namine had to be admitted to the vet hospital with eye and back injuries.
“My sweet Namine and Malificent escaped this evening. Maleficent came back… Namine has not. I was told that she got hit by a car,” said Tanya in a social media post the night when this happened.

However, sixteen hours later, Namine was all patched up and good to go.
Finding Forever Homes
The little babies are proving to be quite a handful for Tanya, so she plans to sell them once they are weaned off their mother’s milk. She plans to donate the money to the Tazewell County Animal Shelter.
Although the puppies won’t be here any longer, Maine has quite the family. She has her human parents and siblings who she loves to spend time with, apart from her own doggo siblings.
She also loved children dearly and guards the babies and little children in the family.
We hope that the babies find great homes, and Namine continues to have a great life with her family! God bless you all!

I sure hope she gets her spayed now that she’s had all of these pups? A million dogs are euthanized every year in the states. Puppies and I mean puppies are killed every day… 8wk old babies and it sickens me that more are being brought in everyday. Please… adopt, don’t shop. Don’t get me wrong… they’re adorable and I’m so happy momma and the babies are thriving! 🐾♥️🐾
