Pit Bull Finds Safety and Friendship After a Harrowing Rescue

A lonely pit bull, stranded in an open yard with no food or shelter, captured the attention of a dog rescue organization after locals reported her plight.

This rescue story takes a surprising turn with the presence of a coyote and ends with the pit bull finding a new companion and hope for a brighter future.

A Pit Bull was living in an open yard, lonely and without food or shelter. It had been in that place for days until some locals saw it and reported it to a dog rescue organization.

Two members promptly reached that place and tried to spot the dog. They did see the dog; however, it was not alone. It had a coyote for the company.

As they tried to approach the dog, the coyote got scared of them and started running. One of the rescuers went ahead and tried to follow the dog, but had to be careful about the coyote to her left.

However, once the coyote was out of sight, they could concentrate fully on the dog. She was running away from them, along a fence that surrounded the yard. At one point, she found a hole in the fence and got inside through it.

The rescuer followed, and once she was near, the former lay down on the sand in an attempt to appear non-threatening.

This seemed to work, for the pit bull stopped there and made no attempt to run away. Then, after a while, she slowly and gradually got up and made her way to close off the opening in the fence. Once it was done, the pit bull was lured with some cheeseburgers to show her that the rescuers meant no harm.

She gladly devoured it, and that was when one of the rescuers was able to slip a snare around her neck. Then another snare was put in place to prevent her from running away. She was given the name Brandi.

The next part was easy. They brought the dog to their car. They had to walk for quite a bit since the vehicle was quite far away, but they got there. The dog looked sad and morose, as she had been without a home or proper food for quite some time.

Seeing her so sad, one of the rescuers had an idea. They took her to meet her new foster family, who already was fostering another dog named Miller, also a pit bull. The two met and set up and had an instant connection, perking up and sniffing each other excitedly.

Brandi is currently in foster care, along with her buddy Miller. The two are awaiting their forever homes. We hope that you find it soon!
