Kendall, a big Goldie, was adopted by a beautiful family that consisted of Emily, David, and their baby son Austin.
The dog was so affectionate that she started acting as a ‘nanny’ to the little boy from the moment he was born.
She used to check up on him every night and almost ‘tuck’ him in. A few years later, she was almost like a ‘mama dog’ to him. The family was living together peacefully when suddenly something happened and disrupted their lives.

Kendall suddenly began to get slow at eating food and often stopped after inhaling it. , and had swellings in her jaw and neck.
She also became slower and lazier. After a check, it was revealed that she had lymphoma. It was also quite obvious that without treatment, she would only have weeks to live.
Emily sprung into action and started arranging for crowdfunding. She contacted numerous organizations to help her with raising the money.

She researched and applied for grants with various animal welfare units.
Fighting Back
Fortunately, her pleas were heard and she got the financial help she required. After a series of treatments, she was much better. Her lymph nodes went down and she became fitter and more active.
She is currently in remission. According to Emily, the treatment could have added several months to her lifespan. Having received a new lease of life, Kendall had even resumed playing with her old mate and fellow dog Tiger, which she had not done in months.

However, Kendall got back into the usual shape soon after the cancerous parts were removed from her body, She went back to her old routine, and when baby number 2 came out, she resumed her role of ‘nanny’ with renewed enthusiasm.
A ‘Mama’ to Both Boys
The second baby, Amon, received an equal amount of love and care from ‘mama’ Kendall as his older brother Austin.
The happier moments of Kendall have been recorded on camera by Emily and her husband David so that their two sons only have good memories of their ‘sister’ and ‘nanny’. “We do not want them to have sad memories of her as they grow up,” said Emily.

The family is currently taking care of her in every way possible, and we wish that she stays like this always, jolly and caring.
Also, God bless Emily and her husband for caring for their beloved pet so much and helping her in her struggle against a disease like cancer.
We wish there were more people like her in this world.
