Skin conditions are the worst. Remember the utter torture it is when our skins develop rashes and hives, and we can’t wait to go see a derm for relief?
Well, we can imagine that the pain would be the same for our four-legged friends as well, although, unlike humans, they cannot do anything about it.
When Glo, a dog with a skin condition, was taken in by a woman named Emily, she was mistaken for a puppy by almost everyone. This was because her skin was so dry, crusty and wrinkled up that she had the appearance of a newborn puppy, although the size was much bigger.

However, nobody really suspected that she may not be a puppy after all.
After Emily took her in for care, she was joined by her friend Veronica, who decided to share the doggo’s responsibility.
They bathed and fed her and kept her in a caring and safe environment. One day, they took her to a vet. Upon examining her, the vet said that Glo was not a puppy at all, but a fully grown canine.
Imagine their surprise when they came to know this! Emily was like, ‘Oh so when were you going to tell us? When were you planning to tell us?” to the dog.

Honestly, it was kind of a shock to them that an adult dog could have such an appearance. And then they decided to help Glo return to her normal condition.
Journey to Healing and Finding a Home
With the vet’s guidance and treatment, Glo finally began to respond. She was kept alternating between the two homes, which helped her in the situation. Ultimately, as the days went by, her appearance began to change.

Her skin became warm and moist, and she grew large brown and white patches of fur. Soon, she looked like a normal dog. All the care and treatment had finally paid off.
The friends were happy, and now they wanted to find Glo her forever home. They put her up for adoption and finally selected a couple who have turned out to be excellent dog parents to her.
We want to thank the lovely friends for helping a poor, helpless puppy with a skin condition and helping her get back to normal.

They did not just help a poor dog get rid of a skin problem, but they also went the extra mile and helped her find a home. Thank you, Veronica and Emily; we need more people like you in the world.
As for Glo, we hope she is happy with her new owners and continues to be so.
